418 Lounge Chair by Yrjö Kukkapuro

The 418 lounge chair is like a sympathetic miniature version of the iconic Carousel arm chair (model 412). The 418, like the Carousel, combines a painted fiberglass body with a leather upholstery, which were available in a variety of colors. The chair was designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro in the late 1960’s for Haimi.

Unfortunately, the chair is not presently in production. Vintage chairs can be bought for around 1 000€. This design classic is both practical and comfortable. If the prize is right, You should definitely get one, or two.
